Pink Pineapple Protein Smoothie
A HealthspirationalMIT original recipe. Day 6 of my smoothie cleanse and I feel great :) Though I’m glad it’s over tomorrow. There are so many vegetable based recipes I want to try and I just bought a spiralizer to make zucchini pasta!
Makes one 1L serving.
2 cups Silk Vanilla Almond Milk
1 scoop Monavie RVL Nutrition Shake - Vanilla Cream
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
1/4 frozen Pineapple
1 frozen Banana
1.5 cups frozen Strawberries
Since all the fruit is frozen you’re going to need a Vitamix for this. Also because all the fruit is frozen I blended the almond milk, protein powder, seeds, and spices first to make sure the protein powder was well mixed. I started at variable 1, moved to 10, then flipped up on high for 15-20 seconds. When that was blended, I turned off the Vitamix and added the frozen banana, strawberries, and pineapple. You definitely need your tamper for this. Also because the fruit is frozen and there’s so much of it the motor works pretty hard to blend it. I would blend in spurts to let the fruit melt a little more to make it easier to blend. I would go up to 10 and high in 15 second increments until the contents started to get more liquefied. Once that happened, I flipped the Vitamix up to 10 and High for 30 seconds just to make sure everything is well blended. Pour and enjoy! :)
